It’s 50 years since Newcastle United won a Trophy, the 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. We wanted to mark the occasion, and so have produced a luxurious Merino Wool Bobble Hat.
The hats celebrate the colours of United and their opponents in the final, Ujpest Dozsa. Each line on the turn up of the hat celebrate one of the 6 goals NUFC scored across the two legs of the final (Moncur 3, Scott, Arentoft, Foggon). To finish the hat off it has been hand embroidered with the coat of arms of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.
We will be donating £5 from he sale of each hat to NUFC Fans Foodbank having discussed this with them. We are based Newcastle and as a nod to the history of the city and the fact it has the largest food bank in the UK within it we felt this as important.
If you don’t want to buy a hat you can still donate to the food bank here.
One size fits most. There are 50 of these hats and they are strictly limited in number to mark the anniversary.
The hats are 100% Merino Wool and were Made in the UK. Full care instructions are on the inside of the hat.
